If you’re here, you may be seeking support for yourself or someone close to you affected by substance use. I’m Dani Martz, a Licensed Independent Addiction Counselor (LIAC) in Arizona, and for over a decade, I’ve been dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of substance use with compassion and understanding.
In my work, I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and respected. My approach is centered on you—drawing on your strengths, experiences, and hopes to find a path forward. Using proven, effective techniques, I work with you to address the root causes of substance use and support you in building resilience, confidence, and self-compassion. Together, we’ll explore your goals, identify any challenges, and create a plan to help you move toward the life you want.
For family members, friends, or significant others who are impacted by substance use, I provide support and guidance that can help you navigate the difficult road of supporting someone in recovery. I’m trained in CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training), an approach that helps family members, friends, or significant others foster positive change through connection, clear communication, and compassion.
Whether you’re seeking help with substance use, worried about relapse, been impacted by someone’s substance use, or looking for ways to support someone you care about, know that help is available, and hope is real. I’m here to support you, listen to your story, and walk with you on this journey. Change takes time, but with support and trust, it’s entirely possible. Let’s take this step forward together.
I hold a Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and have worked in various settings—from detox centers and residential facilities to outpatient programs and private counseling. My journey in this field has shown me that healing is possible for anyone, and it often begins by understanding that help is always available.
CRAFT is a proven, evidence-based approach that equips family members, friends, or significant others with skills to effectively support a loved one’s journey to recovery. Unlike traditional intervention models, CRAFT focuses on positive reinforcement and compassion, helping family members, friends, or significant others communicate more effectively, set healthy boundaries, reinforce positive change, reduce conflict, build connection and resilience, and provide a path to positive outcomes.
